teaching artist / operations manager / director of education, bainbridge performing arts

2006 - 2018

After a childhood as a theatre rat and teenage summers as a teaching artist, I was offered a job at my hometown Playhouse as the Operations Manager. I handled season ticket arrangements, ad sales in programs, staff health insurance, and other office duties. I continued to teach, and when the Director of Education position opened, it was very natural for me to move into it. For two years in that role I oversaw staffing, curricula, training, scheduling etc. for 6-8 classes per quarter, produced three showcases and a major musical every year, and wrote all the plays for our Performance Series classes.

co-founder / programming director, Seattle web fest

2014 - 2018

I became involved with the Seattle Web Series Meetup -- at the time a monthly panel / WIP screening / social hour / etc. for current, former, and aspiring web video makers around the Sound -- through my own series, WRECKED. In the fall of 2014, with Technical Director Matt Longmire and Education/Outreach Director Darlene Sellers, I co-founded Seattle Web Fest, which would go on to have three wonderful years as a one-day festival at Northwest Film Forum, attended by filmmakers from around the globe and hailed as one of the most enjoyable tickets on the web circut. This year we were proud to be absorbed by Seattle International Film Festival. All three of us are currently advising their team as they undertake their first year screening episodic work and have been brought in as Festival Programmers.
